Even though Jared Madsen changed/added the chain guide that has to be removed or altered to use these mounts, as an engineer I would say that this mount places the battery perfectly.
The chain guide is not necessarily needed, and it can be altered quickly with a hacksaw to accommodate the mount. I have had these battery mounts on for the last two months and love how sturdy they are (prior to the mounts, I had the battery inside the bucket).

expensive, don't fit
The Madsen battery brackets don't fit the Madsen. Apparently, the brackets were made for an older model of the Madsen. The brackets position the battery too low to allow it to slide into place due to a chain guide. I was able to make them work by piling 10 washers on each bracket and buying some longer mounting screws. It seems to work ok, but for $50 I'd expect them to fit as purchased.
An incredible, incredible bike. Correction: calling the EdgeRunner a bike is a mis-statement, because it completely redefines what it means to be a bike. It's a do-it-all human powered vehicle. Nimble...
