The Discover M is Velotric’s first mid-drive, and it’s a real step up for riders who want serious power that still feels like a bike. At its heart is the new VeloCore™ mid-drive motor: 500W nominal, 960W peak, and a stout 100Nm of torque (up to 130Nm of support). Because that power is delivered at the cranks instead of the rear wheel, it works through the Shimano 9-speed drivetrain — so steep climbs that would bog down a hub motor get pulled flat with ease. Pair that with a big 801.6Wh removable battery good for up to 95 miles of range (around 70 on throttle alone), and you’ve got a commuter that erases hills and range anxiety in one shot — the kind of mid-drive performance that usually costs well over $3,000.

The tech matches the muscle. Velotric’s SensorSwap™ lets you switch between a torque sensor (responsive, “amplified legs” support for hills and technical terrain) and a cadence sensor (smooth, effortless cruising). Auto Mode uses a 6-axis IMU to read inclines and descents in real time and adjust assist automatically, so you can leave it in one gear and just ride. There’s also a dedicated thumb throttle — rare on a mid-drive — plus one-touch Class 1/2/3 switching (up to 28 mph where permitted), full ride tuning, NFC unlock, Apple Find My and Android Find Hub tracking, OTA updates, and a bright, sun-readable 3.5″ color display. Velotric’s ComfortMax™ package rounds it out with an adjustable 80mm air-suspension fork, a suspension seatpost, and an upright, ergonomic riding position for long, smooth miles.
